The Makwa Foundation, in partnership with Parc Oméga, carries out charitable activities and funds other organizations to achieve its mission.

Protecting animals and endangered species

The Foundation provides shelter and care for injured or orphaned wild animals at Parc Oméga. It works to conserve endangered species in the park and throughout Quebec.

Promoting education and research

The Foundation promotes education and research by offering educational visits to Parc Omega and awarding scholarships in the fields of the environment, biodiversity and veterinary care. It also conducts research into biodiversity and endangered species.

Promoting mental health

The Foundation supports local organizations so that they can offer their beneficiaries access to Parc Oméga, thus promoting the benefits of nature and animals on mental health.

Contributing to art appreciation

The Foundation supports musical and theatrical performances as well as visual arts exhibitions by local and First Nations artists to contribute to the appreciation of the arts.
