Educational workshops in primary schools in the region

With a mission to participate in conservation and education projects, the Makwa Foundation, in partnership with Parc Oméga, coordinates educational workshops in primary schools in the region to raise students' awareness of the importance of safeguarding endangered species and preserving biodiversity.

Recently, Vicky Carrière, head of research and conservation projects at Parc Oméga, visited Dansereau-St-Martin elementary school in Grenville to lead a workshop on pollinating insects and more. especially the monarch butterfly, an endangered species.

Each participant received an educational booklet, a monarch sticker, as well as a milkweed plant, the latter being

essential for the survival of the monarch butterfly.
